Symptoms
- one of the most obvious signs is a lump in the underarm area
- a lump that may be cancerous can be painless, hard, and have uneven edges
- other lumps that may be cancerous can be tender, soft, and rounded
- swelling on all or part of the breast
- dimpling or skin irritation
- pain in the breast
- nipple pain or nipple is turning inward
- redness, scaliness, or thickening of the nipple or skin of the breast
- discharge from the nipple other than milk
